We had some strong aftershocks last night (magnitude>5). I have updated yesterday’s plot to cover from 2010-09-04 4:35am to 2010-09-07 9:30am.
The ‘rule of thumb’ for earthquakes is that aftershocks should be under 1 point less than the main earthquake (that is, for this quake they would have magnitude less than 6.1). Last night we reached 5.5 but this is a logarithmic scale, so the next 0.6 (up to 6.1) would feel quite a bit stronger.
