One of the men contacted his wife via cellphone about 4.30pm, saying they believed they were in the Mt Fraser area, but we[re] lost and it had started snowing. The woman notified police about 10pm, and a search and rescue operation was launched.
Five and a half hours! That will teach him! (The Press reporting Six rescued after chilly night).
